I was invited by Dr. Ama Oforiwaa Aduomun, national award winning playwright, choreographer, and Professor of Music at Illinois State University to design the poster. The play was directed by Dr. Kim Pereira. The show is based on her personal experiences visiting the former slave-holding dungeons in her native Ghana. She describes the dungeons as “the tombs and wombs in which Africans were buried and reborn as slaves.”
