The Indian American dream is centered on achieving prosperity, success, and a secure future for the family. Women often take on a greater role in nurturing a home, striving to adopt new cultural values while preserving their ancestral heritage and language. This poster calls Indian American women to civic action, emphasizing that together we can make a difference in caring for our new home. The "new woman" embraces her identity, acknowledges her brownness, finds her inner voice, and seeks representation. The word Vote is transliterated into various Indian languages/scripts—Bengali, Gujarati, Gurmukhi, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu—to encourage voter engagement and the building of an inclusive, civic-minded community.
